a couple of other things.....
I made this bird cage at my last demo, it's one of those projects that I will add to along the way..... but here it is as it is at the moment....
I used one of the bird cage dies from Do Crafts as a base - cut it twice and put some acetate in the middle.
Made some simple flowers using the new circle punch and then made the leaves using one of the new flower dies. I think they make quite effective leaves for this kind of hanger.
Here is a close up of the flowers.... so easy to make but I really think they finish off your cards and projects.
I got a new phone last weekend.... I wanted a case for it but the shop didn't have what I wanted.... so while Kris ordered me a case (purple of course) and we waited for it to arrive... I made this one for it....
All hand sown and double lined..... I had good fun making it and it keeps my phone safe in my handbag...
The last picture I wanted to show you today is a photo of me.....
But, you might be forgiven for thinking.... really!?
I was playing with my phone..... well you have to don't you?
It's kind of freaky in a very cool kind of way......
Hopefully you all have a great weekend.......
Back soon with more to show you x

More for the boys
Well the rain certainly has fallen over the past 24 hours - sunbathing weather one day the next downpour.... It's just weird weather here at the moment..... perfect days for crafting though!
Here are the cards that I wanted to share with you today...
The first one is using the capsule collection from Do Crafts - spots and stripes, brights.
I have used some of the papers, ribbons and large buttons.
I put some coffee packets in the pocket as I was staying in a hotel and thought they worked quite well. But you could use the pocket for a girft card, voucher or cheque if you want to.
The second card uses some of the Do Crafts 'Home to nest' range.
I love the colour palate of this range - soft colours that are perfect for the male cards we can all struggle with but also great for the very popular vintage style.
As you can see here it goes really well with kraft card too.
Today is the WAY picnic (Widowed and Young) and the weather has not been kind, so we are moving it indoors - never let it be said that a bit of rain keeps our spirit down!
Have a great day, whatever you are doing.
Happy crafting

Creating with WOW!
I do love getting inking fingers and getting to create with WOW! embossing powders.
Today my project has gone live on their blog.
Here is what I created....
My project started off it's life as an empty little chocolate box.......
I took the insides out so that I was just left with the box.
Then I gave it all a quick coat of acrylic paint and covers the larger sections with paper.
I mixed up a whole load of embossing powders until I got this.....
Then I embossed the outside of my box and the embellishments to decorate it.....
Finishing off by adding some ribbon...
And there it is....
Here is a close up of my embellishments.
If you pop on over to the WOW! blog you will find the shopping list and links to the powders that I used.
Hope you like it.
Have a craft filled day...

As promised...
I am often asked about where I craft or what my crafting area looks like, and I promised that I would share it with you.... soooooo
here is my little space of crafting heaven.... I spend many an hour here and love creating away....
Sorry in advance - there are a few photos but it was the only way I could show you what I want to...
Well - that's just a little look into my crafty world - tell me about where you craft..... I'd love to see pictures of your space no matter how big or small.
If you join in and do a blog post, please leave a comment here so that I can pop on over and visit your place too.

here is my little space of crafting heaven.... I spend many an hour here and love creating away....
Sorry in advance - there are a few photos but it was the only way I could show you what I want to...
1. This is my desk and the area around it, I just love the view that I have. It looks right up onto the stunning Pentand hills. Even on a rainy day they look amazing.
2. This is the desk that has the paperwork and laptop...... Although when a new demo kit arrives it gets filled with stock while I look through it all and start to sample make.
3. I love love love ribbon. I bought these boxes from Ikea - most of the room stuff is from Ikea - it's a place full of stuff you just never knew you needed and all perfect for sorting out your crafty stash.
4. I am a paper stroker at heart - also a paper horder! lol
I bought this 12x12 storage system about 3 years ago and had it filled very quickly (and yes I do know where everything is! lol)
5. This little unit was what I moved out of my shoebox of craft stuff for - wow that was a life time ago now.... I still use it and it still has some of my original craft stuff in.... Time to get it out and use it I think....
6. Crafting books - think I need to get them sorted...... oh and another purple storage unit...
7. A great way to store those punches and use up some dead space... It's a bathroom door organiser - perfect for those punches.
8. WOW - yip wow indeed... I love my WOW! embossing powders and this is where I keep them.... Along with my trusty Big Shot, dies and friendly plastic...
9. My decoupage collection and behind the fairy my Kanban collection. My fairy is very special to me - my Mum knitted her for me and she watches over me as I craft - I love her.
Love my owls too.
The jars at the top are filled with buttons. The jar at the bottom is my 'things to be grateful in 2013' jar.
10. And here we are, back at my desk.... This is where you will often find me crafting away or even just planning things to get up to next.... It's where I am sitting while I write this post!

Ahoy there!
This has been such a popular range from Do Crafts - people at my demos are loving it for those male cards where people can get stuck.....
Here are a few of the cards I made with it...
It's a great range to be able to give a modern look or vintage look to.
I will make some more this week, as I have a demo in Kelso to prep for and I'll share them with you as soon as I can.
Off to clear my desk and have a tidy up as I promise a few people I would do a blog post all about where I craft...... the deal is though, if I show you mine then you have to show me yours!
Have a fab day.
Happy crafting

Soooooo with only 230 days to go...
here are a few more Christmas cards to show you....
I just love that time of year - all glittery and people are nice to each other.... well some are.....
Anyhoooo - here are the cards,
This year I am working on creating some Christmas cards every month, using up some of that every growing stash that I have (come on be honest.... you have one too!)....
I want to make some before July - that's when the new Christmas launches start to hit the shops...
What crafty things have you been up to?

Not a card
but still a lot of fun for me to make.
Today I wanted to show you some earrings that I made.
I made them for my Nanna as she loves to wear earrings that match her outfit.
These are all for pierced ears and are on little studs.
These are made with friendly plastic - I really love working with friendly plastic....
I have some more to make in different colours over the next week and I'll share then with you as soon as they are finished.
The sun is shinning here - and it's a beautiful sight!
Hope you have it shining too...
Have a great day - I'll be back later with some more of my demo samples to share with you.....
