Odds & ends

This card has been made up using scraps that I had lying around - even the topper was a left over bit from the decoupage that I did earlier on.
I really like this card.
I love the fern leaf punch, I'm not sure where I got it from (a stall at the SECC) but I  love it. It really does just finish off a card.
Here are some close ups to show the detail,

Be back soon.....

Don't disturb....

This has just got to be my motto for the next few days - lol
I have soooooo much to do and am running out of time - just as well that I am a night owl....
Never mind I do thrive under pressure and deadlines always help you.
A lot of what I am doing at the moment is under wraps, but as soon as I can show it to you I will.
I'm glad I don't have a chair like that in my study - there would be no work getting done, although it would be great for power naps.

Wedding Day

This card is an A4 card made from the wedding day ultimate a4 decoupage card kit.
There are loads of bits in this kit and as well as the A4 card I have made at least another 10 C6 cards too.
Great value for money.
I love the Forever Friends bears, they are very friendly little chaps and they take me back to my childhood.
You can never have enough bears!

Now all I need is a wedding to go to and I'll be sorted!! lol

Cupcakes......

Sorry - these ones are not for eating, but they are very yummy just the same.
I love cup cakes - not just the eating ones! Although I do like them too...
This year the world seems to have gone cupcake mad - they are to be found everywhere!
I have storage boxes and jars all in a cupcake theme, now what I need to find are some really yummy cupcake stamps........ off to have a search I think - let me know if you find any!

Any excuse to get the glitters out is a good one!

Busy bee

How is it that for days and days you are trying to find stuff to do (craft wise not the dreaded HW - that never really goes away does it?)
And then all of a sudden everything comes along at once....... I'm not complaining, don't get me wrong - I love to be kept busy..... if I could just spread it out that would be great!

Here is my card for today....

I really love this friendly little chap.
I must have a search of the web and see if he comes as a rubber stamp, not matter what I do in crafting (and I am always trying something new) I just love to come back to stamping and getting inky fingers.
There is so much you can do with a rubber stamp and every other paper craft technique goes with stamping too.

Happy craftin'

Get well soon...

It's another Kanban card today.
I loved this little chap when I saw him and the decoupage sheet just fell into my basket when I was at the craft shop - honest!!
I like to have a supply of cards ready for all occasions in my box and I noticed that the box has become a bit bare!
So if you are feeling unwell this may well be sent to you!
I used a square card as my base but then changed the shape by using the topper off the edge.

Hopefully none of you need a get well card at the moment and you are all enjoying some sunshine.

Catch ya later.

Time travel

I am loving the fact that you can schedule posts now.
Although this card will be posted on the blog later on this week it really is Sunday morning here (7am) and the sun is streaming through the window.
It's gonna be a scorcher of a day....

Does that make me a Doctor Who kind of Time Lord???? Traveling forward in time.........

Here is my card for you all today,

The butterflies all stand out from the card as I have cut them out and then used 3d foam pads to add some depth.
Have a great day people

My card for today...

This little card was made using a Kanban decoupage kit - I really love the quality of the Kanban stuff.
Die cut decoupage of this quality is a must for everyone's stash.
It's a great gift for someone just starting out too - nice and easy to use.

I am really into square cards at the moment. I just feel really comfortable using them - do you have a favourite card size to be using.

Have fun today with whatever you are doing - I'm off to stalk the postman........ it's getting close to that time when the next Do Crafts kit is due - just wait until you see some of the goodies they are bringing out this time..... get your purses and wallets at the ready!!

Butterfly wishes...........

This card was made from a challenge kit that I was given.
I do like making up the little origami butterflies.
One of these days I will work out how to make a video tutorial and put it up on here.

Be back soon!

A happy birthday card

This little chap was one that I made up for one of my demo cards a few loops ago.
He was very popular with everyone who came along to see me.

I really do enjoy doing decoupage - I think it has to be one of my fav things, along with good old stamping that is.

Here he is a bit closer up.........................

Blue flutterby

I really do like the build a butterfly stamp from Do Crafts. As you can see here I chose not to use the colours that you would normally pick for this butterfly.
I was in a blue mood when I coloured him in......
The card started off as a square card (I really really love square cards at the mo!). All I did was cut off the bottom corner to make it a different shape.

Have a very crafty day people..... I think I might just have to get my fingers all inky today!

One for the boys....

People often ask me how they can make cards for men....
Well this rosette template and papers from Do Crafts is just the job!
I love making these little rosettes up and can think of soooo many uses for them.

Great for the Brownies if they are having a sports day and fantastic if you wanted to make an age badge for someone too!
They come with full instructions and are a great way to decorate a card.

I'm off to enjoy the sunshine...... it really is a wonderful day here today - hope the sun is shining whereever you are too.

Happy craftin'

One flaw in women

One flaw in women
Women have strengths that amaze men.....
They bear hardships and they carry burdens,
but they hold happiness, love and joy.
They smile when they want to scream.
They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy
and laugh when they are nervous.
They fight for what they believe in..
 They stand up to injustice.
They don't take "no" for an answer
when they believe there is a better solution.
They go without so their family can have.
They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.
 They love unconditionally.
They cry when their children excel
and cheer when their friends get awards.
They are happy when they hear about
 a birth or a wedding.

Their hearts break when a friend dies.
They grieve at the loss of a family member,
yet they are strong when they
think there is no strength left.
They know that a hug and a kiss
 can heal a broken heart.
Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.
They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you
to show how much they care about you.
The heart of a woman is what
 makes the world keep turning.
They bring joy, hope and love.
 They have compassion and ideas.
They give moral support to their
 family and friends.
Women have vital things to say
 and everything to give.
HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN,
IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.
