John Byars......

Isn't this decoupage just the cutest ever!!!

I really love the John Byars collection (you can find it at Do Crafts stockists up and down the country).
It reminds me of when I was a little girls and the whole 'nostalgia' range is fantastic.
The decoupage is die cut so beginners and experts will all get an amazing card of the highest quality when they are finished....
Simples!
Here is a close up of some of the detail,
Look out for the amazing range of stamps on the theme too.
I just know this range is going to cost me a fortune! Watch this space for more samples very soon....

Daddy card

This card was another commission that I was asked to do.
They wanted a card based on the word Daddy.... it's from two little boys.

I was quite please with the way that it turned out, nice and simple and very very easy to adapt to any name of theme of card.

Hope you're having a great crafty day.....

Oh Christmas tree

This card is made using some of the new smooch inks (you can find the details for them over on the Do Crafts website).
All you need to do is spritz some card with the inks and let it dry.
Turn your card over and draw a triangle onto it.
When you cut out the triangle you cut it into pieces with irregular edges.
(I'll be back on later with some step by step pictures for this).

Layered onto black card, I think it looks very effective.

Not a Christmas card, lol

A friend of mine asked me to make a card for her husbands birthday.
As he is a very keen cricket player, here is what I came up with.
The reason he is wearing blue is because that is the chappie getting the card favorite colour.

Blue Christmas

Although I have made this up as a Christmas card, the flower could be used for any time of year and the scrolled leaf design is actually from the new summer bloom collection from Do Crafts. (Isn't it amazing how just by changing the colour to a more wintery shade of blue that you can change the whole look of a stamp).
Making up these little flowers is a great way of using up all the scrap bits of vellum or paper that you might have lying around.
That will be another tutorial.... lol
If you are at any of my demos over the next few weeks I will show you how to make these. If you can't make it, don't worry..... I'll put a step by step on my blog soon.
Here is a little close up,

Meet Percy.....

Percy and Penelope are another part of the Daisy and Dandelion collection from Do Crafts.
I just love these very oober cute little stamps.
The one I have used here is just one little penguin sitting on his own, but I have used the making technique to make it look like there are 3 of them sitting together...... (another tutorial for another day I think! lol).
The poinsettia is made using one of the new Do Craft templates (a must for any crafter at only £1.99).
Here is a close up,
The little green dots are not brads, although they do look like them.
For these I have used little circle 3d foam pads and then some of the new foils (another great new goody from Do Crafts).
They are foils that can be used hot with bonding powders or glues, or you can use ds tape or foam pads.
Put the pads where you want them to go, peel off the cover on them (it's best if you do them one at a time) and then rub the foil over the top. The foil will stick to the sticky surface.
I think they look very effective.
Here is a close up of them,
I have found that using black foam pads looks better than the white ones. Especially if you are using mirri board.

I'd love to see any projects that you have made with these amazing new products, let me know and I'll pop over and visit your blog.

Be back soon

Nostalgia

This really is a wonderful collection - you will find it at selected Do Crafts stockists.
I love the stamps, they ink wonderfully and look amazing.
I just love the image, could be used for anything at all but it reminds me of pictures when I was growing up.

I love making these little flowers too. They are a great way of using up bits of vellum or paper that you have lying around.
I'll do a little tutorial for these very soon too.

If you do find any of these stamps - grab them....
You will love them too!

Laser butterflies

These little chaps are from an a4 sheet of laser card.
What the picture doesn't show you is all the wonderful colours that you see when the card shimmers in the light.
I cut some of the butterflies out and layered them onto of the main butterflies, just to add some dimension.
Very pretty and very popular in all of the shops I have been into.

Hugs to you all

I am woman....

Well the wonderful world of 'Born to shop' has come along to play with Do Crafts.
In the collection you will find stamps, paper (both a4 and a5)notelets, embossing folders and decoupage.
This little card was one that I put together in a few minutes at my last demo.....

Big shout out to all the wonderful ladies who braved the gales and rain to come and see me at Burns & Harris in Dundee. It was wonderful to see you all and great fun to be able to show you the wonderful goodies that Do Crafts have brought you this time.

I've started to make the Christmas cards now too (sorry!!).

The great thing about Bron to shop are the fabby slogans that go with them. My favourite at the mo is.
'I no longer skinny dip - I chunky dunk!'........... so funny!

Be back soon

Hopefully she liked it.

I'll be back very soon with some of my card samples from my demos for this loop.
Till then,
happy craftin'
