Working away

Like everyone else at this time of year things have gone a bit crazy.... deadlines to meet and dt projects to finish, along with getting all those Christmas commissions done...

Well it looks like I am just about finished and can then relax a bit over the festive season..... it will be nice to be able to switch off for a bit and get everything ready to go again next year...

Here are a couple of cards I created this month...

Whatever the festive season means to you, I hope you have a great Christmas and here's to an amazing 2015!

Thank you to all of you who have joined me this year on my crafty journey..... lots of tutorials planned for you all next year.

Happy birthday my friend....

Today is Laura's birthday..... Hope you have a great day x
She set me a challenge.... she requested a Tinkerbell themed card for her birthday this year - nothing like a challenge!!!
So out came the drawing pencils and pens.....
This is what I created for her....

Here are a couple of close ups...
I do love creating these quilled flowers, so easy to do and a perfect way to use up those little scraps that as crafters we just can't throw away...

I was quite pleased with the final card..... her son didn't believe I had drawn it, so it must look ok..... lol
Gotta love a silhouette.....

One stamp different ways

Over on the WOW! challenge blog there is a new challenge for this month.
Take one stamp and create different looks with it.
These are the cards I made for the challenge.....

I think I like the Christmas blues card the best... just goes to show, you don't need to use a Christmas stamp to get a really pretty Christmas card.

You can find out how they can be created by popping over to their blog....
If you join in with the challenge, make sure you leave your blog link so that we can pop on over and leave some crafty love.

I'm back........ have you missed me!?

Wow! Having no crafting area has really been hard.... but the studio is now up and running.... yay!
I still have a lot of sorting to do but at least I can craft again..... I felt like my arms had been cut off!.
As soon as it's finished I will take lots of pics, maybe even a video, to share it with you...

So for today I wanted to show you some of the things I have been up to.....
Creating with fimo...... so many more things I want to make with this..... I am really loving clay... - watch this space... I am gonna have a go at making my own, if it works out I will share a how to blog post with you all....

I've also made a few commission cards.... here are just a couple to share with you...

I've had a lot of fun and found it really challenging to craft with no room to craft in.... it's amazing how you take it for granted when you have it! lol
It does feel good to be back blogging though, I've really missed it...
Today I'm off to buy some more storage for the studio.....
Whatever you are doing... have fun.

I'm entering the following challenges,

Thursday 28 August 2014

Welcome little one...

A very good friend of mine and her family welcomed a beautiful little girl into their family, so I just had to make them all cards to say congrats.
Little baby Olivia made it into the world and she is just beautiful.
Here are the cards I made for the family,
this one is for mum and dad....

this one is for the doting grandparents....

and this one is for my friend - now anyone who knows Lins, knows that she is not girly at all..... so this card suited her!

I love making these types of cards as I know they become a keepsake that Olivia will get to see when she is older.
