I was asked to do a wedding card as a commission.
I had to feature a bride and groom and the colour green..................
This is what I came up with
I think the image is a Lily of the Valley one....
I bought it as the SECC last year......
Today I am out and about.... but later on I will be playing with all the lovely Kanban stuff that I bought yesterday!!!!!! I'm gonna be busy! lol
What are you up to?

Home for Christmas
3 of my samples cards.
I like this range - it's great to use on it's own or with other ranges. The starts in the photo above ans glitterations stickers.
They look like nothing on the packet, but wow.... so pretty when you take them off the backing sheet.

Building a wreath
This is another one of the samples that you will see on the show presented by Dawn Bibby on Create and Craft today.
Again using the Home For Christmas stamps, twine and bows.
I stamped the holly sprig onto some cardstock in the shape of a wreath and then cut it out. - to get more depth to your stamping here, re stamp the image without re-inking. This will mean you get different shades of your image.
It's a great collection that has been very popular at my demos.
What are you creating at the moment?

Blue snowflakes
This is one of the samples I created for the show that Dawn Bibby will be presenting on Create and Craft tomorrow. (As a thank you for stopping by my blog - I thought I would show it to you first!!!).
It's created using the Home For Christmas stamps (one of the yummy new selection of goodies from Do Crafts).
I used all three of the snowflakes on my block at the one time, inked them with different shades of blue then stamped on the top of the card.
I like the look of the white organza ribbon, it's soft and gentle but creates flow on the card.
The greeting is also from the Home For Christmas range.
Back tomorrow to show you more xxx
Happy crafting!

Promarker shading
I was asked to create a birthday card for Samantha - now I don't know Samantha but I was told that she liked horses and shoes....
Hmmmm, another interesting challenge then!
So I thought I would do a bit of a colouring tutorial at the same time..... The photos should help to show you each stage as I do it.
Meet Candifloss!
First thing you need is your image to colour...... I drew this one but you could use a stamp or digi stamp if you aren't keen on drawing....... I will be doing some digis soon - I plan to give them free on this blog, so keep an eye out!
Right here we go.......... Image ready and a selection of your colouring medium.... for this tutorial I am using promarkers.
I am using almond, pale pink, orchid and bluebell.
Starting with my palest colour, fill in the whole area that you wish to colour. Add shading by changing the colour of your pen to either a shade darker or a slightly different colour. Add the shading onto the opposite side of where your light source would be (I often work that my light source would be on the right hand side, so my shading is to the left).
Remember to do the same for other parts of the image too!
For the main body I am using Ivory and Almond. This keeps the colour light and clean but still allows shading.
Here you can see how the slighty warmer shade helps to give depth to your image.
Pastel beige is used to create shadow and some final depth.
It also takes the white edge away from around the whole image.
Time to cut it out and add glitter......
This is what she would look like if you stuck her feet into position.
But this is what I did with her to get both things into my challenge!
I hope you like her and have found it useful to show how I coloured her.
Happy crafting.

Little cards.....
Here are some of the newest goodies from Do Crafts.....
Boofle has been very popular again this loop.... the glitteration stickers are beautiful.... you would never guess from the packet just what you can do with them.....
Life here has gone a bit mad..... I will share things with you when I can..... but at the moment there is a lot to get my head around and sadly some of it not good....... (I am fine but a family member is not).
I seem to just be catching my tail at the moment - so please don't think I am ignoring you if you leave a message or pm.... I read them all x

The little frames in the ultimate pack
I've often been asked about these little frames - you will find them in the Do Crafts - Ultimate packs.
This is what the complete sheet looks like when you take it out of the ultimate pack.
When you separate the frames and pictures - this is what you get..... and don't worry, they are all die cut!
I covered a DL scalloped card with a selection of papers, then...
I mixed them up - gluing as I went.... so now the pictures are in different frames (they all match in the shape design so are easy to swap around).
I have stuck them down flat - think of the postage you will be able to save!
But, if you wanted to add some depth - sick the frames on with 3d foam pads.
They are really easy to do and they give you some lovely toppers for your projects when you are finished.
HTH...
Let me see what you create with them x

My camera card
I just love to be set a challenge.... and this week some of the gals at work really set me a challenge!
I was asked to create a card for a couple.... having a 90th birthday (one was 40 and one was 50 - very cool idea!).... one likes cameras and one likes bikes... Alrighty then!!!!!
This is what I came up with....
I did have a lot of fun making it and although it took a long time to get it right, I think it was worth it.
I hope they liked it.
(That's the problem with commissioned cards.... you very rarely get to find out what the person who the card was for thinks...)
Loads to do this week...... got a tutorial week coming your way soon! 7 days with 7 tutorials...... shout now if there's anything you want me to include!
Back to work now..... have a craft filled day x

Think Pink......
Now anyone who knows me, knows that I just don't do pink!!!
But for this cause.... thinking pink is just what everyone should be doing....
Cancer is an evil thing.... I've lost too many good people to this horrible disease.... too many goodbyes.....
My MIL is fighting it right now and it's a fight she unfortunately will not win.
Please pop over to sponsor Dawn - she is a good friend who I really admire.
She has amazing prizes up for grabs on her blog too - make a card and join in to show your support x
This is my card,
Thanks for taking the time to go and have a look

This is from Dawn's page......
"Around 18 months ago my Mum found a lump under her arm,
she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer & had had surgery followed by Chemotherapy,
she's now on her second type of Chemo & has Radiotherapy to look forward to!
Her journey has been a tough one with lots of setbacks along the way but she has
remained positive & strong beyond belief along the way!
You can check out more of the story on my Just Giving Page.
As a result of Chemo, my Mum has lost her hair.
I have been so moved by the experience & by how many people in the world
have been affected in one way & another by this terrible disease, that I decided
I just had to do something about it!
So, I'm having my head shaved on Saturday 8th September 3.30pm
@ The Out Of The Blue Drill Hall, Edinburgh
to raise funds for Breakthrough Breast Cancer!
Pop in if you're free!"
