When is a waterfall not a waterfall?......

when it's a card!!
These waterfall cards from Forever Friends are just amazing.
The finished result is just stunning.
The wee FF bears are just  sooooooo cute.

The little snowflake on the bottom of my card is one of the new embelishments from Do Crafts. It's self adhesive and is a little mirror.
This makes it look really pretty on the card because it reflects the light around it.

My only thing is that I think they are soooooo pretty that I just don't want to send them to anyone!

Henbury Lane,

has got to be one of the nicest ranges that Do Crafts have brought out this year.
My favourite of the HL range has to be the purple papers -  STUNNING!! But I do really like the Christmas ones too.
This card was made using a circle card blank, HL papers and decoupages and my whispers pens.

I love the backing paper...... I really am a self confessed paper stroker!
How are you all getting on with you Christmas cards?
I am about to start making non Christmas cards!!! Woo hoo, my kit from Do Crafts should be with me any second........ oh you are all in for such a treat!! Just wait until you see some of the new ranges that DO are bringing out this time!!!! I love love love them........ and I can't wait to get my inky mits on those new pens!!!! (watch this space!!!!!!!)

Guess what....

It's another snowflake card!!
I love these cards, every time you make one it looks so different to the last.
Just a change of colour really does make a huge difference.

This time I have gone for orange and reds with a hint of chocolate brown.

I'm off to the SECC today. Not to demo but shop!!!!
CC is at the ready!!!! Really looking forward to some retail therapy!!
If you see me at the show, make sure you say hi!!

Sorry for being AWOL.....

I have had the most horrid cold now for well over a week...... so sorry I am have not been around to post anything. I am taking  lots of Lemsip though and I think I should now have shares in Kleenex too.
I am hopeful that it will clear soon and that I can get back to crafting.....
My card for today is the card that I made for my Mum earlier on this month.
Just had to get some purple in there!!!

To those ladies who have asked me to put on some photo tutorials of some of the cards I made - I have remembered! Because of this cold it has been put on hold just for the moment.
I will do it though as soon as I get a chance.

Back soon

When is a stone.....

not a stone?
When it's a necklace!!!
This is the last of the sets that I made for my friend's Mum.....

This time I wrapped the stone in gold wire and then turned this into a pendant.
The beads are from the cousins range from Do Crafts.
Here is a close up of the pendant,

That's all the ones that I have made for her so far..... back next time with some more papercrafting.....

Blues....

This one was made around the beach stone in the middle.
Again, I have used friendly plastic to set it into.

Here is a close up,
The great thing about the friendly plastic is that it is so light, things makes it great to work with and so easy to use.

A different project......

for me to get my teeth into......
A friend's Mum was on holiday and she picked up some stones and bits of glass and asked me to make some jewellery for her.
Over the next few days I'll show you some of the pieces that I made for her...... she loved them....
The first piece is this one,
It's a set created from little bits of green glass, the edges of them where so smooth where they
had been ground down in the sea.
They were so smooth.
I set the large piece of glass into some green friendly plastic ( I really love that stuff!) and then made it into a necklace.
Here is a little close up of that......

To make the earrings, I did the same thing...... friendly plastic is such a great medium for these kind of projects.....
Here is a close up of them....
I'll be back later on with some of the other pieces that I made.

With love at Christmas

This card is made using the Hembury Lane decoupage and paper pack.
I think that by sitting the topper of the top of the card it makes it look a little more quirky.

They are really nice papers to use, very good quality.

Back soon with some more...

My favourite snow flakes....

again!!
Only this time I have done them in blue and purple.
I love the combination of these colours together.

This is the view from the top of the card,
The ribbon and bow have been made with 2 strips of vellum.
I thought it looked quite pretty.

Have you decided on a colour scheme for Christmas this year?

Think mine will be purple and blue. I'm loving these colours together and lets face it...... for me it just wouldn't be Christmas without some level of purple in there!!

My card for today

This little chap has a very shiny little tummy as it's all foiled. (he came that way).
He is from the classic Christmas range from Do Crafts.
Uber sweet little chap.

I don't know anyone who doesn't like a robin! They are such friendly little chaps.
We had one in our garden yesterday, eating from the bird table....... and I know winter is on the way because as I was standing at the back door watching him, I could hear the ducks and geese overhead - all flying south for winter.......

Darker nights and winter weather here we come........ time for lots of night time crafting I think!

Henbury Lane

Well the people over at Do Crafts have done it again...
Another wonderful collection from Henbury Lane. Lots of nice greens and red for those of you that like the traditional colours for Christmas.
There are lots of different elements available too - a4, a5, decoupage, stamps to name but a few.
I love it!

Reminds me of

Kris as a little boy.
I loved Kris in his dungarees.
Playing with bubbles.......

This was made using one of my favourite John Byars stamps.
Fantastic designs by a wonderful artist.
Can't wait to see what he brings out with Do Crafts next.

For this card I kept it simple. Stamped in chocolate brown ink and then layered the design. To finish it off I added 3d gloss to the bubbles to give them some shape.

Snow flakes,

are falling on my head! lol
I really love snowflakes (and snowmen) for Christmas cards.
There is just something timeless about them.

This card is made using the new filigree cards and classic Christmas range. Both are in your Creativity shops now.
Check out the Do Crafts web site if you are not sure where the closest to you is.

Here is a close up of the snow flakes,

I'm not normally a pink kind of girl, but I quite like this.....

My love of paper folding

I have always really loved doing paper folds and trying to get the best from some of the wonderful papers that I am sent.
This fold has been around for a long time - as have most of them. But it is one that I enjoy.
It's very simple to do and when I have some more time on my hands I will do a step by step.
It's made up from 9 circles. This one is quite large but you can make then in any size at all.

Off to make some more.....

Friends welcome,

This is another go green card.
As you can see, I really didn't have to do much to this card at all.......
All I added was the sunflower sticker along the bottom.
I like making up some 'normal' cards in between all the Christmas ones! lol

Another Christmas card for you,

This one has been made using the new filigree cards from Do Crafts. The inks I used where the colour box chalk inks.
I really like these cards, all of the cutting has been done for you....

How are you all getting on with making your cards? Remember to send me the link to your blog so that I can go and have a look.

Some more 'Go Green'

This is another one of the cards I made up using the go green collection.
This time I used one of the notelets as the main feature.

It's a wonderful collection that can be used for so many different things.
Well worth getting your hands on this if you get the chance!

The bit you throw away.....

It's alright, you can stop shouting at the screen now.....
I know you don't like to throw anything away...... lol
This card is made with the backing papers from embelishment packs.
The pink backing paper here is the bit people would normally throw away.

The dove topper and ribbon are from the classic Christmas range from Do Crafts.
