Welcome little one...

A very good friend of mine and her family welcomed a beautiful little girl into their family, so I just had to make them all cards to say congrats.
Little baby Olivia made it into the world and she is just beautiful.
Here are the cards I made for the family,
this one is for mum and dad....

this one is for the doting grandparents....

and this one is for my friend - now anyone who knows Lins, knows that she is not girly at all..... so this card suited her!

I love making these types of cards as I know they become a keepsake that Olivia will get to see when she is older.

My WOW! monochrome challenge project....

Today it's my turn over on the WOW! challenge blog to post a project.
The theme for this month is 'Monochrome'...

Here is the project I created....

and a few close ups for you...

I loved making this card. The black looks striking with the white cardstock.

Pop on over to their challenge blog here to see the powders I used and to join in with the challenge.
We'd love to see what you create...

We will remember them....

It's been a manic few weeks at work and last week was the busiest of the year for me..... one person doing the job of 5 at times.... But hey, I got through it and am still smiling..... just! lol
There is a new challenge over on the Crafting Cafe challenge blog.... it would be great if you would pop on over and join us. This month we are having a photo inspiration challenge - use the photo as inspiration for your project (colour... design.... emotion behind it).....
I made this card based on the photo.....

And today this was very apt as my son and I went to the Drumhead Service in Edinburgh.
It was an honour to be able to attend the service to remember all of those who lost their lives in any war. It was also lovely to see all the veterans there.
I'll post some more projects as I make them. So important to always remember the ones whose fought so hard to give us the wonderful live we have.
