A little blue

I'm not but the card is.....
This is the card that I made to show as my #docraftsmonday project.

I made this using a selection of papers that are available to the members of the Creativity Club on the Do Crafts site.
I love these - great for both mens and ladies cards...... I just adored the blue.....

What crafty things have you been up to?
Today I thought I would teach myself felting..... you know.............. as you do!
I had an idea for a very special project for an event that is happening at the end of the year and I think it's going to work.
I'm very pleased about that one! I'll show you when I have made some more... I can see felting being a new addiction for me!
Hmmmm the possibilities.......

I'll be back soon with some more makes to show you.

The lurgy struck

Well I've been a bit MIA over the past couple of weeks.... the dreaded lurgy hit the house so I have been under the weather. Recovery is slow, but I'm still smiling and it is getting better..... so sorry for the lack of posting...
Today I thought I would share some of the crafty projects that I was asked to create for a range of craft kits that are being sold in Hobbycraft across the country.
Here are just a few...

It's always nice when you are sent stuff and just given free range to get creative...
Today I am playing with some of the downloads from the Creativity Club from Do Crafts...... I'll share them with you when I can.

Whatever you are doing today, have fun xxx

#docraftsmonday

Well Monday already! Wow.... the month is just zooming by.....
So for my #docraftsmonday project this week I decided to use some of the fab papers and downloads that are available to all Creativity Club members (check out the fab downloads section if you haven't seen it before - soooooo many to chose from and it covers everything from papers, toppers, digis and templates).
I am working with a selection of the Easter papers and downloads...... and this is what I created.... (lots of pics for you here!)....
I love this style of card for using up all those little scraps that you have. And it's a very quick card to pull together.
This card has 2 types of embossing....... dry embossing and then heat embossing.....

For this card I did some paperweaving and then stuck it onto some white card. Then I used the Do Crafts egg die to cut out my egg....

Paper flowers a plenty here, all punched out and then pinned to the poly egg.....
What have you been creating over the weekend?
Pop on over and share it with us all on FB or twitter.... just remember to include #docraftsmonday so that we know to pop on over and leave you some love....

Pyrography....

Now, ever since I was a little girl I have loved to burn things.....  yip (you just gotta love a good old campfire....)..... I love the smell of burned wood. So pyrography is a perfect craft for me!!!
Here are a few things that I have been up to with pyrography.......... (some of these are the designs I was working on a while ago that I said I couldn't share at the time)...
As always.... what starts as a clear desk pretty soon ends up getting filled with 'stuff'
This design is one of my favourite zentangle doodles that I do.... this time I transferred it to a wooden coaster.
The peacock design is first burned onto the wood and then coloured with alcohol pens, I used Promarkers here.
This one was done as an 'M' for Mothers Day, but you could easily create and initial.
Here I created a bookmark. Behind the bookmark is a flap of card that slides over your page to keep your place. Simples....
And of course, it wouldn't be me if I didn't find some way of including it on a card..... so here is a wooden button that I created as a flower middle.
If you haven't ever tried pyrography, give it a go.
There are so many kits out there now that let you sample the craft...
And if you happen to pick up a Kirsty Allsop pyrogrphy kit in Hobbycraft...... have a good look at the pictures and projects...... there might just be something very familiar about them!!! lol **wink**

Have a very crafty weekend....

To have and to hold

This weekend I attended the wedding of a beautiful young lady who I have known since she was a young girl.
She looked radiant and just so happy.
I was touched that she asked me to be a part of her day.

This was the card I made for the happy couple..... and it doubles up as my #docraftsmonday post.....

If you want to play along with #docraftsmonday then all you have to do is create something!! When you have finished it, you either blog it and share it on facebook..... or twitter.... or you just blog it.... whatever you decide to do just put the # of #docraftsmonday...... and if you do take part. please let me know so that I can pop over to your blog and leave some love.....

New month means a new challenge...

There is a new theme over on the crafting cafe this month and that means there is a new challenge for you all..
This month the theme is One for The Boys..... always a toughie.....
But we are lucky enough have two sponsors this month!!!! So that means you have double the chance of winning a prize!
Pop on over to the Crafting Cafe blog to see the sponsor links and inspiration cards from the design team..
Here are the cards that I created for the launch post.

If you had said to me a year ago that I would be using digis daily, I would have laughed in your face.... somehow though I have seriously become addicted to them and all that you can do with a digi......

Thanks for stopping by.
