60 shades of grey

It was a special birthday for a friend of mine last month so I just had to make a special card just for her..... I thought I would play around with the 50 shades of grey title and create her very own 60 shades of grey card. (there are indeed 60 shades of grey on this card....... every promarker, pencil and pen in grey that I had was used!lol)
She loves dragons and books so this was the card that I came up with.....

I taught her how to make these roses, so they just had to be on the card!!!
As the card has a filigree front that is all laser cut, I thought I would decorate the inside of the card too.

I am glad to report that she loved it.... it's nice when you get that kind of reaction.
The sun is shining here and I am working in my pjs...... creating some dt projects that I will share with you when I can...
What ever you are up to today..... hope it's fab!
Happy crafting

  2. This was a digi image that I found online and knew it was just perfect for this card. I'm not sure who the original artist is but if I found out I will be sure to mention it as I love it. Thanks for your lovely comment x

    1. Thank you. It's not a die. I make them from scraps of paper that I have left. If you look at the top left hand side column on this blog you will see a tutorial list, if you look at the quilled roses one it shows you step by step how I make them. They are really easy to do, they look great and they are a fab way of using up scraps...... Let me know if you make any and blog about it (please feel free to share the tutorial with anyone) and I'll pop on over and leave some love x

  6. I love my special card, made by a very special person whose generosity apparently knows no bounds. The card has been commented on both in my home and online by many of my friends who apparently thin along the same lines as Nikki, Dragon Rider is one very lucky, fortunate 60 year old who is loved much more than she knew. Thank you so very, very much Nikki. Now do I post the house or will you?
