One stamp different ways

Over on the WOW! challenge blog there is a new challenge for this month.
Take one stamp and create different looks with it.
These are the cards I made for the challenge.....

I think I like the Christmas blues card the best... just goes to show, you don't need to use a Christmas stamp to get a really pretty Christmas card.

You can find out how they can be created by popping over to their blog....
If you join in with the challenge, make sure you leave your blog link so that we can pop on over and leave some crafty love.

Happy crafting

The lurgy struck

Well I've been a bit MIA over the past couple of weeks.... the dreaded lurgy hit the house so I have been under the weather. Recovery is slow, but I'm still smiling and it is getting better..... so sorry for the lack of posting...
Today I thought I would share some of the crafty projects that I was asked to create for a range of craft kits that are being sold in Hobbycraft across the country.
Here are just a few...

It's always nice when you are sent stuff and just given free range to get creative...
Today I am playing with some of the downloads from the Creativity Club from Do Crafts...... I'll share them with you when I can.

Whatever you are doing today, have fun xxx

We would love you to join in with us if you have the time.
Have a very crafty weekend, thanks for stopping by.

Been a stamping...

Here are a couple of cards from my demo in Inverness last weekend.
It was great to see those of you who could make it along - and yes I am working on those tutorials as we speak!!!
Watch this space x

I love the set of butterfly stamps - there are dies that match them as well....
Another busy busy week here, trying to finish off all the projects I have started but not completed.....
I will have them done in the next couple of weeks - clean slate in the new year and I plan to start it with no half done projects.......
Hope you are all surviving the madness!

Here in the back ground...

honest I am.... the weather has been awful - felt like I lost my mojo for a bit...
Still crafting away but totally flat with all this weather - SAD is just not lifting... last year I had waved goodbye to the SAD factor by this time......
The spring cleaning has begun..... so at least something is happening....
As I said, I have been doing some crafting..... this is one of my favourite stamps at the moment -  I have been after this stamp FOREVER!!!!! and last month I managed to pick it up for free!!!! I love it when a crafty mag gives you a gift that you are just dying to use....
Here are some of the cards I made with it - I've made a lot more but they have gone off to the school this week.

Sorry about the quality of the photos - the lighting here is just shocking.... Think I will have to get myself a photo tent....

The stamp is just perfect for paper piecing too - did I tell you how much i love this stamp!!!!
Did you manage to get you hands on it too? If you did I would love it if you would share your projects with us - leave me a comment and let me know and I'll pop over to your blog to have a look.

Best friends and

a little bit of love...
I tried to upload yesterday but had a few problems... so I will put two cards in this post.... lol Sorry!
The lighting was really bad today - all dark and grey so the photos aren't as good as they could have been...
A photo tent etc is on my to get list!
Here is the first card,

And here is the second...

Both of the stamps are from teh new Do Crafts 6x6 urban stamps - Vintage Notes (Sentiments)...
I loved playing around with them to come up with something different.
These are the start of the samples that I will have with me at my demos over this loop - I'll share some more with you later....
What crafty things are you up to today?

Stampin.......

So I've been getting inky fingers again....
I do love stamping.... that's why I love working with embossing powders too - a new WOW blog post will be coming up from me very soon.....

But for these cards I was playing with some of the Tulip range of stamps from Do Crafts.

Here are the cards I made,

Just some very simple little cards - they are great to have up your sleeve when you have a pile you need to make or if you are in a rush...

I had better get a move on with mine.... I've got a few commissions to do too....... gulp!
Have a great weekend.

Tick tock

This has got to have been my favourite stamp for the last demo loop over at Do Craft towers...... I love love love it!
I adore the clocks background and I've used it for a lot of projects - both male and female..... all you need to do is change the colour and hey presto! A girly card or a boys card....
The embossing folder is the ruler one from the 'Happy Days' collection.
This was a quick thank you card that I made..

It's back to my normal working hours this week. I can't believe that that's the summer holidays over and now it's all back to normal!
WOW - talk about time flies!
Hopefully the wonderful people at BT have now fixed my phone lines, so everything should be back to normal very soon! It's amazing how just a few days without the techno bits was soooo strange....
Nice in some ways but really horrible in others....
Whatever you are up to today - have fun!

Getting inky fingers...

I do love stamping - I love most forms of crafting, but I have to be honest.... I always seem to come back to inky fingers and stamping!
I think it's because I just love to colour in!
Both of these cards were made using some of the latest stamps from Do Crafts and they have been coloured by my favourite Papermanis watercolour pencils.
I am really loving them!!!! You can get so many different effects with them.... and it's a lot easier than most people think! They are very forgiving...

It'd been a very busy week for me this week.... Tomorrow I am finishing some of the projects that I will be demoing at the Do Crafts demo in Inkspot, Hamilton on Saturday.
Lots to show you there.... if you can't make it to the demo, I will show you some of them here next week.
Off to bed soon I think.... back again tomorrow.
Nighty night crafters....

Masking with your stamps

My card for today shows how much fun you can have with retro colours and the masking technique.
This is such an easy technique that is fun to use and gives really good effect and finish to your card.
I am demoing this at the moment (have a look at my demo section to see if I have a demo near you!)... after the demos are finished I'll do an easy to follow step by step on the blog to show how easy it is to do.

Happy craftin'

Meet Percy.....

Percy and Penelope are another part of the Daisy and Dandelion collection from Do Crafts.
I just love these very oober cute little stamps.
The one I have used here is just one little penguin sitting on his own, but I have used the making technique to make it look like there are 3 of them sitting together...... (another tutorial for another day I think! lol).
The poinsettia is made using one of the new Do Craft templates (a must for any crafter at only £1.99).
Here is a close up,
The little green dots are not brads, although they do look like them.
For these I have used little circle 3d foam pads and then some of the new foils (another great new goody from Do Crafts).
They are foils that can be used hot with bonding powders or glues, or you can use ds tape or foam pads.
Put the pads where you want them to go, peel off the cover on them (it's best if you do them one at a time) and then rub the foil over the top. The foil will stick to the sticky surface.
I think they look very effective.
Here is a close up of them,
I have found that using black foam pads looks better than the white ones. Especially if you are using mirri board.

I'd love to see any projects that you have made with these amazing new products, let me know and I'll pop over and visit your blog.

Be back soon

Nostalgia

This really is a wonderful collection - you will find it at selected Do Crafts stockists.
I love the stamps, they ink wonderfully and look amazing.
I just love the image, could be used for anything at all but it reminds me of pictures when I was growing up.

I love making these little flowers too. They are a great way of using up bits of vellum or paper that you have lying around.
I'll do a little tutorial for these very soon too.

If you do find any of these stamps - grab them....
You will love them too!
