I have been commissioned to make a few Mothers Day cards for people at work so I thought I would play around with some ideas.
This card is using the new range of Parisienne Blue from Do Crafts..... The whole range has a very french feel to it. I think this will be very popular. The stamped little bottle tops have been created using the Madam Payraud typewriter stamps and a medium circle punch.......
When you punch out the circles and then just emboss the edge it looks like a little bottle top - very cute!
I can see me using this technique for lots of things like names etc for mens cards.
The purple background has been created with the new Do Crafts spritzing ink.
Have a great crafty weekend
Thanks for taking at peek at my latest project.

I'm entering this card into a few challenges.....

15th birthday commission
I always find it harder to do a commission card when you have no idea about the person who is getting the card....
It always makes it easier when you know at least a little bit....
This was the problem I had with my latest commission..... create a couple of cards for a 15th birthday, for a young man called Ryan....
Hmmmm..... Now normally the creativity is not very hard to find, but as I have been under the weather it has taken me a lot longer....
This is what I came up with.
They seem to have gone down well with the person who is giving them so all is good.
Today my desk is covered in tissue paper, ink and pva........ I'll show you what I am creating as soon as it's finished.
Have fun with whatever you are doing.

Paint sample strips
Today I wanted to show you 3 cards that I made with some of the paint sample strips that I have.
You know the ones - you are looking to chose a colour of paint so you get the free sample strip with lots of shades of the same colour on them..... well this is what I made with them......
Nice clean and simple cards, but they are great fun to make and really quick and easy.
Perfect for that crafting in a hurry and you always know the colours will work together!!!
I think I might need to get some more of these....
Happy crafting

The last of last year....
Well in cards that is.....
Here are 2 of my favourite cards from last month..... I had to wait until now to show them to you...
The first card is made using the village scene dies from Do Crafts - I can see me using this die a lot!
The backing papers are some of the downloads that are available to Creativity Club members.
Lots of dimension by adding some 3d foam pads.
This card was a commission card that I did.
Emma loves giraffes and Elmo..... so I did this to combine them.....
I do love a challenge!
Enjoy your day today with whatever you are doing.

Welcome Ellie...
Last year I was commissioned to create a new baby card for a very special little girl who made her entrance into the world.
It had to be quite a big card as there were a lot of people to sign it.
This was the card I made.
It was a lot of fun to make and I was really pleased with the finished card.
What creative things have you been up to over the festive season?

Been a stamping...
Here are a couple of cards from my demo in Inverness last weekend.
It was great to see those of you who could make it along - and yes I am working on those tutorials as we speak!!!
Watch this space x
I love the set of butterfly stamps - there are dies that match them as well....
Another busy busy week here, trying to finish off all the projects I have started but not completed.....
I will have them done in the next couple of weeks - clean slate in the new year and I plan to start it with no half done projects.......
Hope you are all surviving the madness!

Circle baubles
Hey everyone, sorry I've been a bit MIA over the past few weeks.... the time has just flown by!
Here is a card that I made at my last demo - I used the Art Deco papers from Do Crafts and punched out lots of little circles.
Taking them 3 at a time I folded them in half and then stuck them together.
When you attach them to the card you can see that you get a really good 3d effect. It's great because although you get a really dimensional card - it goes flat for going into the post!!!! Yay - no extra postage!!!
I'm off to Inverness for the demo tomorrow, it's been a long time since I came up to see the ladies up there.
Inverness has always been a favourite of ours as a family, the Highlands of Scotland have something truelly magical about them.
If you ever get the chance - visit! And make sure you bring your camera....
I'll be back next week to show you all the other things I have been making recently.... have a great weekend.
Happy crafting
Nikki x
